Moon Soju's founders set out in 2017 to bring you clean, low-cal Soju of the highest quality, made using organic corn and distilled five times for unprecedented smoothness. Co-founder Alex Safir describes this Toronto-distilled spirit as being defined by its simple ingredients and distillation process, making it a unique choice among existing brands. Alex believes that the core of the business revolves around family and growth, with Moon Soju being their connector. Alex has generational experience working with alcohol, spirits and distilling after following in the footsteps of his father, the creator of Canadian Vodka. Alex would help with operations in hopes that he could help his parents retire early. The more involved he became in the family business, the more he started to enjoy it. Recognizing a deep appreciation for Korean cuisine and culture, as well as the Korean traditions of family and togetherness, Alex decided to try his hand at his own, original, creation. Thus, Moon Soju was born.
